Its creator, American educator Salman Khan has recorded about 2,800 video podcasts, with lectures on physics, chemistry, biology, and many humanities. When Khan was asked to predict the changes that take place in the global education in 50 years, he drew quite a fantastic picture of the future of education.
Learning Space
The first change is unlikely to need as much as 50 years - most likely, everything will have a new way in 10 years. Radically change the space in which we learn. In most universities in the world today, everything is clear to the students is a lecturer, the students sit in rows one behind the other, write down the lecture word-for-word, but in the end of the semester, they must pass an examination on the subject.
After 10 years, everything will be different! From a passive model, we turn to model active or, in other words, the creative. The audience can no longer be called the audience in the full sense of the word; it is rather just a space, or even better - a place for development projects, where it will be possible to move freely.
The main idea is that now all university resources are spent only on the passive receipt of information from students, professors. However, the time will come when the student independently investigates. How were opened integrals, differentials and quantum physics? This knowledge everyone can get nowhere slowly and work at your own pace. While studying, most of the time needed to build, create and explore: and it is not only about the field of technology. For this scheme, you can learn to draw pictures, compose sonatas, set dances. The main thing - creativity and their own discovery of new information.
A very important role in this process technology will play all the knowledge we obtain by the classical scheme "professor - students" may be much more useful if they are received on a "student with myself."
Knowledge - the engine of modernity
If you rewind the story a couple of centuries ago, we see that the bulk of society engaged in physical labor. A little less than a large stratum of society engaged in mental labor. The new education model will be based not on estimates, and on personal achievements, and they can be quite different: it is possible, for example, to understand the methods of mathematical analysis, to learn to play the notes, or give serious attention to quantum physics. Of course, after 50 years of knowledge need to be checked: it will be oral exams, practical exercises. Student Success may depend on exactly how; in practice, he used the information.

What is particularly important - while sitting at the computer in search of knowledge depends only on the student's future? And while the information will be returned as you like: and when you turn 40 years old, and all 50. After the end of the university does not mean that the age of 22 should stop learning. With this approach, your personal achievements, you will feed all the new knowledge will always remain at a very high level. If you have learned, for example, to play the notes, you can be sure that at any time be able to use this skill. The main emphasis in the new system will be on creativity and projects. And in the creative field cannot judge a man by the estimates: the actual weight will have a portfolio of projects that you do and may implement during the study.

And employers will no longer be interested in what my assessment and how much time I spent in lectures: they ask that I create during training and that really allows me to classify a creative class.
The role of the teacher

A global meritocracy
Finally, the best part is my prediction. Since the cost of teaching academic subjects will be reduced to almost zero, the students, in general, will only need internet access, level of education on the planet will rise to 99%. We are already very close to it, if you look at developed countries, but developing states still lag far behind. Just imagine if we come to this 99% - this will cause a global positive change in health care, economy and international politics.
The very idea that students from all over the world will have access to any high-quality educational resources, means that one day we will arrive at a global meritocracy - the collective system in which all the best positions occupied by the most talented people regardless of their origin, social status and financial position.
Those are my predictions about changes in education over 50 years. In general, I believe that all the above becomes a reality in 10-15 years.
